TORONTO, Mar. 1, 2022 /CNW/ - For the first quarter ended January 31, 2022, BMO Financial Group (TSX:BMO) (NYSE:BMO) recorded net income of $2,933 million or $4.43 per share on a reported basis, and net income of $2,584 million or $3.89 per share on an adjusted basis.


"We continue to build on our operating momentum and delivered another quarter of very strong earnings, driven by our Canadian and U.S. Personal and Commercial businesses, including accelerating commercial loan growth, and ongoing strength in BMO Capital Markets. Concurrent with the release of results, BMO announced a second quarter 2022 dividend of $1.33 per common share, unchanged from the prior quarter and an increase of $0.27 or 25% from the prior year. The quarterly dividend of $1.33 per common share is equivalent to an annual dividend of $5.32 per common share.
