In this episode of Sustainability Leaders, I focus on renewable natural gas (RNG), the state of the U.S. market, and the case for rising RNG demand in the future. My guest on the show is Mark Hill, Co-CEO of Novilla RNG, a developer and operator of dairy RNG projects.
“You have data centers coming online that cannot get enough electricity to power the data centers from the utility. It'll take years for that to happen, so they put in gas turbines or gas engines to power those data centers, but they also have their own sustainability goals,” said Hill. “And so RNG from animal-based manure is pretty much the only thing out there that has severely negative carbon intensity.”
