Armando Benitez serves as Global Head of AI for BMO Capital Markets. He leads the firm’s AI strategy and execution across the global Capital Markets business. 

His mandate focuses on translating advances in AI into measurable business and client impact, scaling capabilities across the organization and shaping how the technology changes the way Capital Markets operates, makes decisions and serves clients. 

Armando has played a leading role in building the AI, data and quantitative capabilities at BMO Capital Markets, bringing together technology, data, engineering and business expertise to deliver solutions across the organization. 

He joined BMO’s ETF desk in 2016 after working on machine learning products for fraud detection and recommendation systems at Paytm. Earlier in his career, Armando worked in high-energy physics, including research at CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research.
