Evan Siddall
Vice Chair, BMO Capital Markets

Evan Siddall is Vice Chair at BMO Capital Markets, where he provides advice to the bank’s most senior clients. Evan’s experience as a CEO in both the public and private sectors offers a rich perspective in providing strategic advice.
Evan started his career at predecessor firm Burns Fry and also worked as an investment banker at Goldman Sachs and Lazard before joining Irving Oil and the Irving family holding company in 2008.
Evan’s public sector experience started when former colleague and then Bank of Canada Governor Mark Carney asked for his help ending the “too big to fail” problem exposed by the Global Financial Crisis. Most recently Evan was CEO of Alberta Investment Management Corp, the $170 billion asset manager.
Dedicated to philanthropy and community engagement, Evan was awarded the King Charles III Coronation Medal for his efforts on behalf of Parkinson Canada.
