Joseph Leary

In his capacity as Global Head of Digital and Liquidity, Joseph is responsible for overseeing BMO's rates trading and FX trading groups. Joseph Leary brings a wealth of knowledge to BMO through his trading experience in liquid products.  Joseph has developed electronic trading platforms in a way which optimizes the expertise of voice traders and the power of execution tools. His trading expertise lies in long end and STRIP Treasuries trading, and he has been an advisor to the NY Fed and US Department of Treasury on multiple occasions. Prior to BMO, Joseph ran businesses at both Citi and Deutsche Bank in trading and rates research roles.  Most recently, he co-headed developed rates trading at HSBC as a Managing Director. Joseph holds a BS of Economics from The Wharton School and a BA of Physics from the University of Pennsylvania.
