Kate Whalen is Co-Head of Global Fixed Income at BMO Capital Markets, where she is responsible for the firm's global fixed income platform, including Sales, Trading and Structuring across Rates, Credit, Foreign Exchange, Agency Mortgages, and Debt Capital Markets.

With more than two decades of experience in institutional fixed income markets, Ms. Whalen has held leadership roles across sales and trading, developing deep expertise in securitized products and client coverage. Prior to her current role, she served as Head of Global Client Coverage, leading the firm's institutional client strategy and sales efforts across fixed income products and markets.

Ms. Whalen joined BMO in 2018 through the acquisition of KGS-Alpha Capital Markets. As an employee of KGS-Alpha since its inception she helped build the firm's securitized products franchise, holding roles across sales and trading.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Comparative Literature from Brown University.
