Lisa Xia is President and CEO of Bank of Montreal (China) Co, Ltd. (BMO ChinaCo), overseeing all business entities and interests in China, namely BMO ChinaCo headquartered in Beijing and its branches in Shanghai and Guangzhou. BMO ChinaCo is an affiliated entity of BMO Financial Group. As the first and only Canadian bank to operate an incorporated subsidiary in Mainland China, BMO ChinaCo offers a broad range of financial institution and corporate banking services, trade finance, and private banking products and services.

Ms. Xia joined BMO in Toronto in 2000 and later continued her career with the bank upon returning to China. She was appointed as Chief Representative of the BMO Shanghai Office in 2004 and since then has taken progressively more senior roles with the expansion of BMO’s operating presence in China. With over 20 years of extensive banking experience across North America and China, Ms. Xia has held leadership roles in diverse areas, including legal entity governance, investment and corporate banking, trade finance, project finance, credit risk management, and correspondent banking.
