Lyle Wilpon is the head of the Global Advisory Business for BMO Capital Markets. In this role, he is responsible for overseeing BMO’s Global Mergers & Acquisitions Group, as well as the A&D and Real Estate Brokerage businesses. Lyle brings 30 years of investment banking experience as an M&A specialist across multiple sectors, advising clients on the full suite of M&A activities – including divestitures, restructurings and cross-border acquisitions.
Lyle joined BMO Capital Markets in 2014. Prior to that, he spent 14 years with Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BAML), where he headed their Middle Market M&A team. At BAML, Lyle previously ran the Corporate Sales & Divestiture Group and was the head of healthcare M&A. Earlier in his career, Lyle worked at Credit Suisse First Boston, Lazard Freres, Houlihan Lokey and Wasserstein Perella.
Lyle is actively involved in charitable work. As a proud supporter of the United Way, he is currently Co-Chair of the BMO Capital Markets Employee Giving Campaign.
Lyle earned an undergraduate degree from Amherst College and an MBA from Harvard University.
