Marcus Ikeda was appointed Head, Capital Markets Strategy & Client Insights in March 2021. He is responsible for leading the development of Capital Markets' corporate strategy and the global operations related to client data and analytics, client onboarding and KYC.

Prior to this appointment, Marcus was the Chief Administration Officer for the Enterprise Strategy & Operations group, where he was responsible for the strategic management and oversight of BMO's $1 billion global premises budget and real estate lease operations and the Enterprise Strategy & Operation group's operating budget, risk, compliance and governance activities. Before moving to Enterprise Strategy & Operations in 2017, he held increasingly senior client-facing and strategy roles across BMO Capital Markets, including Mergers & Acquisitions, U.S. Industrials Investment Banking, Global Markets and the Office of the Chief Operating Officer. Marcus joined BMO Financial Group in 2005.

Marcus earned an MBA with Distinction from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Arts with Phi Beta Kappa honors from DePauw University.
