Mark McCormick is Chief FX Strategist at BMO Capital Markets, where he leads FX strategy and contributes to the firm’s global macro and cross‑asset views.

Mark has more than 15 years of experience in FX and macro research across major investment banks in the U.S. and Canada. His work combines macro fundamentals with quantitative tools and systematic signals to develop market views, generate trade ideas, and help clients navigate changing global regimes. He is based in Toronto and supports BMO’s Global FX platform.

Mark is a regular contributor to global media, including Bloomberg, CNBC, and BNN. He holds a master’s degree in international affairs (economic policy) from Columbia University and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Susquehanna University.
