Michael Proskin

Michael Proskin is a Managing Director of BMO Capital Markets and the Head of the US Power, Utilities and Infrastructure Investment Banking Group, based in New York. He is responsible for coverage of companies across investor-owned utilities, renewables, energy transition and infrastructure sponsors. Mr. Proskin joined BMO Capital Markets in 2021 after spending 23 years at Credit Suisse in IB client coverage and Equity Capital Markets.

Recent relevant experience includes advising Opal Fuels on its $1.75 bn merger with ArcLight Clean Transition II, advising Sempra Energy on the $1.1 bn sale of its unregulated wind to American Electric Power and the $2.6 bn sale of its unregulated solar to Consolidated Edison, and advising Dominion Energy on its $14.6 bn acquisition of SCANA Corp.  During his time in Equity Capital Markets, Mr. Proskin led the three largest equity offerings and the two largest convertible offerings to date in the history of the US utility sector.

Mr. Proskin received a Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude, with highest honors in Economics and a Master of Arts in International Economics and Finance from Brandeis University.
