Nick Chan is Managing Director and Head of Financial Resource Management for BMO Capital Markets. This group consists of Fixed Income Financing, Money Markets as well as the Balance Sheet Solutions team. In this role, he has responsibility for repo trading, money market distribution, and secured and unsecured wholesale funding activities. Nick is the main liaison for Corporate Treasury as well as leads the optimization of the firm's capital and other constrained resources to support core initiatives. He also has oversight over the Global Money Markets Sales team, with a focus on the distribution of rates, credit, financing and money-market products in the 2 year and under duration part of the curve. Nick brings to this role strategic industry-wide partnerships that he has developed during his 19 years at BMO.

Nick is the Chairperson of the Investment Industry Association of Canada's (IIAC) Repo Committee and has been a driving force in many Canadian industry initiatives including leading the development of the Enhanced CORRA benchmark for the Canadian Alternative Reference Rates Working Group (CARR), as well as more recently BMO's representative at the Canadian Fixed-Income Forum (CFIF). He is also a member of the Capital Markets DE&I Council with a strong passion for mentorship and community support.

Nick earned an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Economics from the University of Toronto and is a CFA Charterholder
