Reg Butler
Director, Lead Supply Chain Finance
Reginald Butler serves as Director, Global Transaction Banking and Lead, Supply Chain Finance for BMO Capital Markets. In this role, he leads a team responsible for all aspects of supply chain finance for both BMO Capital Markets and Commercial Banking Clients. His portfolio coverage sector includes Industrials, Healthcare, Engineering & Construction, Business Services and MidCorp.
Reg is an accomplished senior international trade executive with broad experience in wholesale, retail and manufacturing sectors. He has successfully traded ferrous and nonferrous metals, food products and consumer goods. Over the course of his career he developed extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, strategic sourcing, international sales and marketing, business development, capital development and operations.
Prior to joining the team at BMO Capital Markets, Reg led, the US subsidiary of the Schäfer Group – a German based engineering firm – as General Manager. Before working at Schäfer, he founded, and was President of Eton International USA, Inc., a trade and trade finance company. In that role, he oversaw Eton’s daily operations, managing the sales office in Jakarta, Indonesia and sales reps in the U.S and London.
