Rob Stewart

Co-Head of US Mergers & Acquisitions
Rob Stewart joined BMO Capital Markets in May 2013. He is Co-Head of BMO’s U.S. Mergers & Acquisitions Group and a member of the firm’s U.S. Leadership Committee, as well as the M&A Fairness Opinion Committee.
Rob has extensive global experience originating and executing a broad range of strategic and financial advisory assignments for publicly traded, financial sponsor-owned and privately owned companies across a wide variety of industries – with a focus on the Industrials sector. Prior to joining BMO, Rob was a Managing Director at Jefferies & Company. Before Jefferies, he spent more than ten years at Credit Suisse as a leader in its U.S. and European investment banking businesses focused on domestic and cross-border execution of M&A and financing assignments in the Industrials arena.
Rob started his investment banking career at Paine Webber following the receipt of his MBA from the Darden Graduate School of Business at the University of Virginia. He received his A.B. degree from Duke University in economics and psychology.
