Sarfraz is Head of the Canadian and International Mergers and Acquisitions group at BMO Capital Markets.
Sarfraz has over two decades of experience advising clients on a wide array of M&A assignments, including purchase and sale mandates, hostile takeover defense, activism defense, strategic investments, joint ventures, fairness opinions and independent valuation mandates.
In addition to his responsibilities as a senior member of the M&A team, he has played a lead role in the development of the firm’s Metals and Mining M&A franchise in China, where the firm has completed more outbound M&A transactions involving Chinese domiciled entities than any other advisor globally.
Sarfraz has a Bachelor of Business Administration from York University's Schulich School of Business. He is also a CFA Charterholder.
