Brent Thumlert

Brent is the Managing Director & Head, Climate Smart & Software Solutions. He leads the development and evolution of BMO’s proprietary technology that enables businesses to measure, reduce, and report emissions through their Credit Development and Climate Smart carbon accounting products. His dedication to emissions transparency and accuracy sets BMO’s Credit Development and Climate Smart software apart and enables his team to hold up to the highest standards.  

Prior to joining BMO, Brent worked within the oil and gas and service industry, as well as several start-ups, one of which was an application created for the first-to-market operations under the new carbon credit legislation.  

Brent actively volunteers his time with the Canadian Ski Patrol and Canada Task Force 2 disaster response team.
