Bank of Montreal created the $350M Impact Investment Fund (IIF) to invest in companies with technologies, products and solutions that will drive positive environmental outcomes.
The fund is managed as an independent entity connected to the broader BMO platform, enabling the fund to leverage BMO’s broad network of clients, partners and experts.
Investment Criteria

Type: Minority equity investments, typically 5-20%

Stage: Late VC (B/+), growth, and PE

Size: Total allocation of US$10 - $30 million over the life of the investment

Approach: Can lead investment rounds or follow

Geography: North America focus, with consideration of opportunities in Europe
