Equity Through Education
Equity Through Education is dedicated to supporting talented and deserving students in pursuit of their academic goals. Every year, certain members of BMO Financial Group will donate part of their trading revenue from one day of trading to support student access to education.
Through this initiative, we contribute a portion of institutional equity trading commissions along with a portion of BMO Wealth Management's BMO InvestorLine and BMO Nesbitt Burns' trading commissions to various charitable organizations that support access to post-secondary education.
Since inception, over C$33 million has been raised, helping over 5,500 students achieve their potential through scholarships, bursaries and career development.
In addition to charitable funding, the BMO NYC Scholarship Program also provides aspiring students with education and career support. Through our partnership with Francis Lewis High School (FLHS) and the FLHS Alumni Association, graduating students have the opportunity to apply for financial assistance covering tuition and other school-related expenses. In addition to this support, selected recipients receive guidance and resources to help secure internship placements throughout their college experience.
